David Chambers is an Architect & Urbanist living in Brighton.
A Public Practice alum, he currently leads Design & Placemaking at Rother DC. Co-founder of Aberrant Architecture he was the first architecture resident at the V&A Museum.

With 20+ years of expertise, David has designed award-winning civic, cultural & community projects across various scales. He is co-author of 'Wherever You Find People' published by Park Books, has taught Architecture at Central St Martins & currently at the University of Brighton and serves on the South Downs National Park's Design Review Panel.
Artist
Co-founder of Aberrant Architecture, David has crafted award-winning public art projects, showcased at the British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and exhibited as guest of honour at DesignTO Festival in Toronto. Aberrant, in collaboration with curator Beatrice Galilee, co-launched & directed The Gopher Hole, an experimental project space in London.

At Rother District Council David leads Design & Placemaking within the Planning Policy & Placemaking Team, providing strategic design leadership on a range of major projects, including the transformation of the De La Warr Pavilion, a new masterplan for Bexhill, and policy development for the emerging local plan.
